Navman has carved a place for itself in the GPS market. It got its name from the world's first chart plotter. The company developed first portable in car navigation device which was launched in 1997. It has preloaded maps of a large number of countries like US, Puerto Rico, Canada etc. iCN 520 is another Navman product which is quite popular. It is an in-car navigation system. Its advantage is that it is very easy to carry (pocket sized). It is fully mobile and also has a rechargeable battery.

For people of Canada and US, Navman launched PiN 570 which is a personal interactive navigation system. GPS receiver is integrated with it. It is capable of performing all the functions of a Microsoft Pocket PC. It comes loaded with maps of US and Canada.

What started off in a garage in Auckland has come a long way. Today Navman boasts of several units that are set up in different countries of the world like UK, US, Spain, South East Asia and many more.
