Active devices are also collect the same information but usually transmit the data in real-time via cellular or satellite networks to a computer or data center for evaluation There is a need of monitor in the commercial vehicles, for which this active system does not work well. There are two companies like TrackStick and TravelEyes who offers passive vehicle tracking devices and for active devices, they are Track Your Truck and Verizon Wireless . National Insurance Crime Bureau recommended that, Vehicle tracking system are very much potential as anti-theft device which are an integrated part of the multi-layered approach to prevent vehicle theft and very effective in letting the police track the vehicle.
