Europe has officially entered the GPS business. With the successful launch of the first GPS satellite of the continent, it's been benchmarked as amongst the prime zones of satellite vehicle. This launch is an evidence of Europe's capability of delivering ambitious projects to the benefit of its companies and citizens. It's found that EU's GPS systems are more powerful compared with Russia and U.S., as they've close resolution and are more accurate.

GPS or Global Positioning System is a satellite based navigation system. It provides exact position of any object at any moment, in any weather, and at any place on earth. Satellites of a few networks orbit in space and send signals that a GPS receiver can detect.

Accuracy of positioning of GPS points relies on the settings of the receiver. For instance keeping the rovers GPS unit stationary, while gathering measurements, will provide greater accuracy. With this technique, any given GPS location can be calculated as all position measurements' average, thus reducing the impacts of anomalous measurements.

There're many GPS receivers that are available on the market today, prices of these systems may range from just above US $130 to thousands of dollars. Military satellite transmissions are used by GPS to help you determine your position at a given point in time. They come in various sizes and offer an extensive range of functions.

However, because the price of GPS technology has come down, many companies have found new applications of it. Also, associated technologies' prices have also dropped dramatically since GPS' inception, leading to many innovations such as GPS Tracking.
